According to the latest Rightmove survey the average asking price for property in England and Wales fell by 0.7% during the period 10th October to 10th November. This national average masked a much higher fall in the West Midlands of nearly 2.5%. Clearly if you bought a property at the height of the market then this is not good news. However, for the vast majority of homeowners these things are all relative. Indeed, a readjustment to more affordable levels should help not only first time buyers but also those who are looking to trade up. After all most sellers are buyers too. The fact is that even in a tight market there are still deals to be done.
